Berties Catering

Berties Catering is a banqueting hall in Yorkshire and for the last 30 years have built their reputation on serving honest food at an honest price whilst retaining the value of a family business with an old fashioned approach to service. One of the largest and most refined in its class, Berties had no relevant website to speak of so we were brought on board to develop a site that matched the companies class and stature.

I lead a team of four taking the project from design, right through production and culminating in launching the site within the tight deadline. One of the biggest features of the this site is the video portal page featuring several of Berties films (which my agency also produced). This video portal was developed using an XML content management system with the intention of being extremely easy to add more films in the future. Another great element is the integration of Google maps to the contact page so users have all of the functionality of Google, without leaving the website.

My role in the project was co-designing the website then solely building it from the ground up. This included wireframe designs, all flash work, HTML and CSS coding and Javascript implementation.
