I am an enthusiastic and highly motivated Digital Creative with nearly ten years industry experience providing creative solutions for clients such as BBC, Adidas, HSBC and the NHS.
I specialise in managing digital strategies across all areas of media for clients, including online, motion/video and music production. This starts with taking a project through the pitching stage, creating bulletproof briefs and developing a strategy that ensures the project delivers the best possible measurable benefits. Once a web strategy is in place I create pixel- perfect, engaging designs with UI's which maximise the impact of relevant information before developing the website using squeaky clean, W3C compliant HTML5 and CSS3.
I have extensive transferable skills across the entire Adobe Master Suite and strive to keep up to date on the ever-changing trends and techniques across the digital domain. I am very thorough in project management and team organisation, I take criticism constructively and have the creative vision to take a brief from concept through to end product.
In my spare time I write and produce music for my own production library, which services film and television companies across the country. I've travelled quite a bit over the years (over 50 different countries and counting), I enjoy playing weekly squash and the odd game of football, as well as keeping myself busy with several side projects that I'll eventually get round to finishing one day...
I am currently Senior Digital Creative at DS.Emotion and I look after their digital offerings which includes maintaining their existing digital clients as well as securing and developing new digital projects. The majority of my role is made up of web and motion design/development although I source and manage a small team of freelance creatives and developers whenever projects require it. I'm needed to be diverse and creative with my design, fast and efficient with my development and make sure DS Emotion are always up-to-date with the ever-changing landscape of digital creative.
Due to the recession, Ripe Design stopped trading in 2010 and the MD asked me to join him in moving to Intermarketing. I spent three months there, working for an especially diverse range of international clients including Adidas, RSA Global and La Redoute.
I joined Ripe Design as Senior Digital Designer to work on projects for their impressive client list including Bahrain Bay and First Direct. My diverse range of skills meant that my day to day tasks covered all aspects of digital creative including web design and development, music composition and motion graphics.
The Mill Group are a new media agency that specialise in film and television and I joined them as a digital designer in 2007. However, within a few months I was promoted to Head of New Media and worked alongside the studio manager overseeing all digital projects that came through the studio. My duties lay predominantly in online projects including website design/development, emailers and advertising. However, because of their specialty in film, I also completed several projects in motion graphics, editing and onset production.
I worked as in-house designer for one of the UK's largest social events companies with my responsibilities covering all areas of their digital marketing. My duties included everything from re-writing their ageing and complicated website to developing interactive DVD/CD-ROMs for their various sister companies.
For the first few years of my career (and bits and pieces inbetween) I've worked as a freelanceer, direct with clients. Some of these clients being the biggest names around such as the BBC, Umbro, ITV amoungst many others. This period of my career gave me unparalelled experience in developing relationships with clients, some of which still hold strong today. My freelance experience covers a wide spectrum of digital areas including website design and development, motion graphics and music production.
